+korysan
I created this puzzle cache which uses animated gifs https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC7A0HX_siteswap I just tried recreating it but the outside links were not allowed. Doing some research, I found out that certain hosts were permitted and uploaded them all into google drive and converted the links into embedded html links for the new puzzle in a new state. The gifs are displaying on a windows laptop, but not on a mac desktop (broken image link icon shows) or an iphone (question mark icon shows) Here's the link for the latest puzzle with these issues. https://coord.info/GCA3J82 any help on how I can fix this issue? +thebruce0
A cursory glance looks like they're valid GIF89a files, and the links are loading from the 3rd party URL. So I'm thinking there may be an issue with the images' data itself that the Mac isn't understanding; a compatibility issue. It doesn't look like a cache description issue. Mac, no idea. But the images loaded fine on my iPhone 14 in Safari. Quote Link to comment
+korysan
So I woke up this morning and all of the gifs are displaying correctly. No idea how, but I guess this issue self-resolved overnight! 1 Quote Link to comment
