Thouroughly Hooked

I just wanted to drop in and say hello to everyone! I happen to come across Geocaching on Canada.com's 'web junkie' section last week, and two things became immediately apparent to me... firstly, this game was made with me in mind I'm sure. After all, I love hiking, I love playing with toys, what could possibly be better than to combine the two. And secondly, with something this cool my wife would be not only tolerant...but actively enthusiastic about letting me buy a new toy. So we are now the proud owners of a little yellow etrex, and we've just finished our first day of Geocaching...... and of course we're both absolutely hooked now. I've already found places around Toronto that I didn't even know existed.....can't wait for next weekend.

Welcome Bradinn to the world of Geocaching and in particular Southern Ontario currently the home of numerous geocache junkies. I'm really curious to see which "second" GPSR you purchase, and when, so that you can both hike the trails with head down focusing on the map screen and missing the surrounding sites.

There are countless excellent caches in the Toronto area so you can look forward to many weekends of enjoyment. We'll all look forward to hunting your caches once you get a good grip on the sport and decide to hide some yourselves.
