JJLJ(NW89toN59)30 Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 (edited) I was actively geocaching with my son in Texas some 15 years ago. Unfortunately, we made the mistake of picking up a Geocache Passport without really knowing what to do with it. Now, spring forward and I still have it in my possession. Looking to give it to someone to put back into circulation. I live in Bothell, WA and would be willing to make a hands free porch drop off to anyone within 20 miles or as well mail him out. His name is Rover the Turtle and his tag number is ******. Edited September 18, 2022 by geoawareUSA9 removing TB number Quote
geoawareUSA9 Posted September 18, 2022 Posted September 18, 2022 Thanks for letting folks know that a TB is ready to rejoin society. I took out the trackable number, as that should not be publicly posted unless the owner is OK with it. 1 Quote
+crs98 Posted September 18, 2022 Posted September 18, 2022 Another option would be for you to drop it in a local geocache. Given that you live in Bothell, WA, may I suggest dropping it off at https://coord.info/GC9N1E0, which is nearby and an easy cache to find? Quote
JJLJ(NW89toN59)30 Posted September 18, 2022 Author Posted September 18, 2022 I guess that I could do that but I imagine that it would require downloading the app and also becoming familiar with how to use it. I no longer have the device I was using many, many years ago. Quote
JJLJ(NW89toN59)30 Posted September 18, 2022 Author Posted September 18, 2022 Adding to my previous post. There is a note with the "travel bug" stating that the goal is for the turtle to get to a cache called "RB Bug Laucher" in Poway, CA. Quote
+Ms Marvelous Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 Hideeho, If you still have the trackable there is a Meet and Greet just north of Bothell, WA this Saturday 10/15/22 at 8:30 A.M. GCA06MQ .We could also do the drive by option if that works better for you. Quote
+jcar Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 If you still need to pass this on I can meet you somewhere in the Bothell area, I live nearby. Some coffee shop would work for me. Feel free to contact me through my geocaching.com profile page. Quote
JJLJ(NW89toN59)30 Posted December 28, 2024 Author Posted December 28, 2024 (edited) Sorry, I just realized that I wasn't receiving notifications on some of the last posts. Now, not only has two years passed, but I still have the trackable. On top of that, I now live in Fort Worth, TX. There was someone previously from Oklahoma that offered to relocate the trackable if I sent it to him. I should have jumped at the chance. However, I can no longer find that IM. If anyone else out there is willing to extend the same offer, please let me know. Edited December 28, 2024 by JJLJ(NW89toN59)30 Quote

Don’t mail trackables without permission Mail services to some places are unreliable and there is a risk the trackable will get lost. Always get permission from the owner before mailing a trackable. If you receive a trackable in the mail, log it as a grab on the trackable’s page. The trackable’s mileage will update when you drop it into the next geocache. My suggestion: on the website, contact an active local geocacher and ask for help getting the trackable placed and moving. Quote
