gm100guy
I was out using my gps to record a track. I keep my gps set on 3 second update most times when I am out. Yesterday I was trying other settings and set it to a 20 second update. I was drivng when I did this and the results sucked when I downloaded the track into Softmap. I will now keep the gps set to a lower second update. I did not have my palm hooked up with Cetus, then I would have had a backup plotted. Any anothers have experience in trail plotting to share. gm100guy http://members.rogers.com/gm100guy/cachepage.htm Ontario geocachers http://groups.msn.com/GeocachinginOntario/homepage Quote Link to comment
Goldguru
I run my gm 100 at one sec intervals and if the fix is decent it makes a nice track..also if you stayed zoomed out to say 8-10 miles you can maintain a longer track without saving...if i'm using my laptop and moving map the track will be as long as you like..but you must remember to save track on occasion for the odd time when the cig lighter becomes dislodged , all tracks will be lost as putor crashes when batt expires while you are concentrating on the rd..Gg Quote Link to comment
