+Team Giblert
Hi all. I'm wondering if anybody would like to get together on a Saturday night for a little beer & some caching war stories? Not sure where, but maybe we can find a convenient location for those that RSVP. If you're interested, please leave a note here and then I'll send private emails if we can get a group organized. I'm going to keep this simple and not create an event cache. [edit: I should probably clarify that I don't mean this coming Saturday but one in the near future, to be determined by all involved] [This message was edited by Team Giblert on May 29, 2003 at 07:41 PM.] Quote Link to comment
Jomarac5
I'm game. Sounds like fun. Thanks. ***** Quote Link to comment
+RobertM
I'm always game for a caching get together! Thanks for letting us know about this Team Giblert. Quote Link to comment
+Pharmadude
I'm in Ontario as I write this, but that sounds like a great idea! Back next week. Quote Link to comment
+SylvrStorm
Sounds like fun! Don't know whether or not I'll be able to join you, but definitely keep me in the loop. SylvrStorm *** Laugh and the world laughs with you. Cry, and they laugh at you. *** Quote Link to comment
+Team Giblert
Is anybody available this coming Saturday (the 7th)? Quote Link to comment
+SylvrStorm
quote:Is anybody available this coming Saturday (the 7th)? Depends entirely on time and place. I know you probably won't decide that until you know who's available (vicious circle), so put me down for a definite maybe. *** Laugh and the world laughs with you. +Team Giblert
Oops - looks like something changed so won't be able to do it this Saturday, the 7th. Quote Link to comment
zon
I am game, let me know where and when. I think it would be fun to post the coordinates of the pub, not the name or address. Quote Link to comment
BeDoggy
I was thinking the same thing. It would be cool to have a pub night. Trade stories and such. I think it would also be an opportunity to swap ideas on how to make geocaching more well known in this area. I'd be very interested in attending. Ask not for whom the cache waits....It waits for thee. Quote Link to comment
hilaryipes
Any excuse to have a nice bevvy! I'd love to come if I'm available, and I can probably convince slosel as well. Quote Link to comment
+WCoaster
I am definately in. We are away the last week of June for holidays, but keep me informed. Also please keep in mind, for any that are interested, that The Great Canadaian Coast to Coast Travel Bug Race kicks off on Saturday July 5th. This starts at 11:00 am though so we can cache , eat and drink , catch some rays , catch the most amazing game on earth next to geocaching (womens beach volleyball!!!) , then go and drink and eat . Talk to you soon. You can steer all you want, but it is all for not if your not moving forward! Quote Link to comment
3fish
Don't know if you have done this yet, but yeah I'm in! Should be able to drag Geotrapper out as well. Let me know. Quote Link to comment
+alfredpr
Sounds good! How about Saturday 5 July 2003 1800h at: N 49 10.626 W 122 25.661 Lots of caches in the area as well. Quote Link to comment

+alfredpr
OK, how about the 12th? That is our usual post-cache location so we will probably be there anyway. Lots of caches close by, so after picking up the race TBs in the city, they can be started on their way east from here later in the day. Quote Link to comment
3fish
So is it the 12th of July then? Quote Link to comment
Jomarac5
I like the idea that alfredpr suggests and the 12th is fine with me but I think it needs to be run past Team Giblert as they are the ones organizing this. ****** Quote Link to comment
+Team Giblert
I'll be out of town on the weekend of the 12th but it sounds good for everybody else so go for it! I'll catch up with you all next time. Have fun! Quote Link to comment
BeDoggy
The 12th sounds just fine....I'm in! Ask not for whom the cache waits....It waits for thee. Quote Link to comment

+canadazuuk
I work 4 on and 4 off, and my last free Saturday night for a month is the 5th, so I guess you'll have to count me out... plus, I can't go to the travel bug thing either, cuz I work until 6 AM Saturday, so count me out there too I'll be hiding a dozen caches very soon, that'll be my revenge... but don't panic, they'll be accessible with a stock 4X4 THIS TIME... Quote Link to comment
+alfredpr
Why not both the 5th and the 12th? Sounds like a good excuse to cache & drink two weekends in a row! Quote Link to comment
Acuracura
I'm interested. Please keep me posted. Acuracura@hotmail.com We should choose a place that has no age limits. What if someone on here isn't old enough to drink? Don't get me wrong, I'm 19 and legal but I'm just considering those geocaching kids out there. Quote Link to comment

+Pat Patterson
hrm yes and no. there are several restaurants that are more pup than restaurant. IE Kelly O'Brians, Moxie's etc. That said would that many Kids atualy be interested in the meeting? Mine like the hunt but would have no interest in the pub night. It would only be late teens that do caching on their own. That said any chance it could be on a Sunday? or late enough on a fri,sat that it's still going at midnight? Shift work sux. hilaryipes
I was looking for a place name, I saw the coords. Quote Link to comment
+Pharmadude
I believe the idea is, just like geocaching, you use your GPS to get you to the general area, then you use your head to figure out where to go from there. I'm sure it won't be too difficult! Quote Link to comment
+canadazuuk
hey, I can't remember the name, but I know what place that is... of course, I can't be there, seems I'm getting left out of everything... More caches to hide They are going to get tougher Quote Link to comment
+alfredpr
OK, more specific - The Shake and Shingle Pub Quote Link to comment
BeDoggy
I intended to go to the pub night but I've done something to my neck and am on muscle relaxants. I can't drive! I hope everyone has a good time, though..... Ask not for whom the cache waits....It waits for thee. Quote Link to comment
