MN12
I had so Much fun last wknd with my 4/5 hunts that I had to get some more input. What was your favorite Ontario cache hunt?.. So far my has been the Eastern Garter Snake one. What a hoot! Terrain was great. Cool things to see on the way. Very cool cache container and a awesome workout playing "FIND ME" "Use the Force Luke" MN12 Quote Link to comment
+res2100
I remember the Eastern Gartnet Snake cache well, but no where near my favorite...I was considering with the slippery hillside as we tried to make our way to that cache...not too kid friendly. ok, we liked the bridge. But our favorite and both me and my 5 year old son agree on this one, was Chedoke Trail Treasure in Hamilton. Although a rather long hike 2.3km round trip, it was definately worth it...2 waterfalls, the niagara escapment, 4 deer, different trail (old road?), awesome view, different cache container...and we almost passed this one by because I thought it would be too long of a hike, but we enjoyed it immensly and I would definately recommend it...park at the top parking lot and use the old road along Scenic Drive to get to the cache. http://ca.geocities.com/geocachingcanada <---NEW! http://ca.geocities.com/rsab2100/pond.html Quote Link to comment
gm100guy
My favorite hunt was short cut to the old cabin I did in Oct with my son's scout troop. We came from the Bolton side and the scout's loved the old village, had to cross the river it was a little chilly, had a warm day and a great lunch at the cache. Had to cross the river again. Scouts learned to read the map better and do pre planning. gm100guy http://members.rogers.com/gm100guy/cachepage.htm Ontario geocachers http://groups.msn.com/GeocachinginOntario/homepage Quote Link to comment
