Guest AcStark
Before I buy Softmap I want to find out what the graphic format is. The thing won't do me much good if the GPS part doesn't work well and the maps can't be used in Ozi or some other program. Does anyone who has it know what the format is and can it be exported to other programs? Quote Link to comment
Guest mazda626
I e-mailed SoftMap last summer inquiring about file format I and received the following ; "The map file use in SoftMap are encrypted. It is not possible to import SoftMap map in other Software. It is only possible to cut and paste a part of map." Quote Link to comment
Guest AcStark
I wonder if it really encrypted or just a proprietry format. If someone can send me a single file from it I would like to see if I can find out what the format is. If you can, send it to AceStark@hotmail.com. If I can't find a way to import the maps into Ozi etc. it would just be a waste of money. Quote Link to comment

You may be interested to know that QuoVadis Navigator ( QVN ) Canadian topos can be imported into Ozi - they are in png format. Actually, Ozi even has a one click import for QVNs and that includes calibrations. You can find them at my (commercial) website: www.canadianmaps.ca Quote Link to comment
