Basic GeoCaching Rules (a la Murphy)

14)You go home and log the cache and find a new hide really close to the one you just did.

15) You forgot to waypoint the car. AND you left the clue and goody bag in it.

16) (can I do three?) You decided to take the nice long trail to an awesome cache. After 30 minutes of hiking, your batteries die. Spares are in the car - (that you forgot to waypoint)

Darn tootin'! icon_biggrin.gif

Doing a spur of the moment cache while you're in the area with nothing but the coordinate, realizing it wasn't quite as go-to as you had originally thought, being stubborn enough to continue the hike alone at 5:30am, get to the general vicinity of the cache, realizing that the noises you thought you were hearing WAS a bear after all, then see a large sign that says DANGER, TRAIL CLOSED PAST THIS POINT, and hightailing it back to the car, only to be informed when you log a no find that you were standing about 5 feet from the cache.

24. Just when you think you're prepared for the "West Nile Bandits", by wearing plenty of mosquito repellent with DEET, you accidentally handle your GPS and it becomes a gooey, molten mess.

28. You spend 30 minutes searching all over high heaven, knowing that you are in the right spot and that you must be blind because the cache HAS to be right here. You later find you WERE in the right spot, but the cache wasn't, because some dear soul had moved it (hidden it better - taken it upon themselves to find a "nicer" hiding spot etc...)
