Yes but then you have the problem I experienced as I have credit for completing an adventure lab of which I have never been to any of the locations. I think this is a terrible idea!

It's gone.

I assume if I edit it to make a new one the people who already found it won't be able to find it again?

Correct.

Apparently (and I say this because the question has been asked numerous times but there's never been an official response), if you delete an AL all manner of bad things happen, including (again apparently) deleting all the completions on it. I don't understand why they have a Delete button there tempting people to click it.

When an Adventure is deleted:

  • The finds of people who already completed the Adventure are not affected (players keep their finds even if an Adventure is deleted by the creator)
  • The contents of the Adventure (images, texts, questions, etc.) are permanently no longer accessible to the creator or players. This action cannot be undone (and there is a warning after the "Delete" button is clicked).
  • The creator does not automatically receive a credit to build a new Adventure. Credits are distributed as described in this Help Center article.

We are working towards ways to improve the credit process in the future. Thank you for your patience as we continue to grow and fine-tune Adventure Lab!
