nykkole Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 (edited) You can now turn on the Friends feature on both iOS and Android. This replaces the “Show friends list” feature on iOS, so we will close that thread. Currently, you can See your friends list from your profile. (iOS) See when someone is your friend on the profile (Android & iOS) Over time, we will expand the feature to include: Available actions from another player's profile See if that player is already your friend (iOS) Your friends list (Android) Add that player as a friend See your pending friend request to that player Cancel your sent friend request View friend requests that you received from other players from your profile Accept / delete friend requests that you received from other players HQ will not actively participate in this thread, but will review it for feedback to assess if a feature should be further developed. Any posts in this thread should relate to features in this release. Comments unrelated to the release may be removed. Please direct unrelated comments to other appropriate threads. Thanks! +Max and 99 Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 I'm not seeing any benefit on my Android app: showing on someone's profile if they are on my friends list. Each profile shows that they are my friend, I can request that they be my friend, or they are not accepting friend requests.

It's more information than was available prior to this introduction, though it does just give you friends' status only on Android, so far. It will be more useful to me when I can actually deal with the friend requests and initiate a friend request, or see the list of friends on the app. For now, I just use the actual website to do that. As it stands, it is not really useful - add more of the functionality listed in the "expand in the future" list - and it will be a nice addition to the app.
+Max and 99 Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 I don't know what this means. Maybe in the future the hamburger menu will show me options on my friend's profile?

That would be my guess - right now things are still in development, some places I click I get "Not Yet Implemented" (Try the "Requests" tab on the top of the page, for example). If I click the icon next to the friend's name, I am taken to their profile, but the hamburger menu is "Not Yet Implemented", even though the message doesn't say that. It simply tells you it was clicked, kind of useless. Maybe it's coming soon....
nykkole Posted August 16, 2022 Author Posted August 16, 2022 With the latest app version ( 9.9.0), the last features for viewing your friends, and sending and accepting friend requests are now added to the app. This version is currently rolling out to the app stores and will be available to everyone soon. The full feature set includes: On your profile View your friends list - and access their profiles or the Message Center to chat with them. View all incoming friend requests - and accept or delete them. Expand the profile header to view a QR code for others to scan. Scanning the QR code will open your profile in the app. On another player’s profile See if that player is already your friend. Send a friend request to that player, or cancel a pending friend request.
nykkole Posted August 18, 2022 Author Posted August 18, 2022 Over the last two months we have actively developed the features mentioned above. They are now released, see release notes thread.
+Max and 99 Posted August 18, 2022 Posted August 18, 2022 I noticed yesterday and today that my friends icon is coming and going.
