Tim Horton's location project? Talk about a never ending task.

 

In small town Atlantic Canada those things are more prolific than Baby Gaps in New York City.

i started marking off the tims in hamilton and got to about 35 or so (theres about 70+ all togrther in hamilton area) and some weiner decided to play with my gps and erase everything. not a big deal but alot of work. havnt started on it again yet but im planning to soon.

As the "owner" of the project, I've been pretty lax recently!!! I apologize for not doing much with it... that dare "life" of mine keeps getting in the way!

 

I will dig up my most recent GPX file and post it for everyone to grab. Then we can chat about the best way to continue the project!

BTW, I just found out that MetroGuide Canada v4 does have a lot of Tim Hortons listed. You have to look under Specialty Food Products. I'm not sure how complete it is sicne I don't actually own a copy of MGC4.

Yup, my GPS (60CS) now has the Hortons listed on it... (and other Donut establishments of renown and some I've never heard of!). I'm liking this Garmin software.

 

It's dated though... I looked for the nearest gas station while in London and it was gone!

No, but here are the latest numbers of locations (and there are more caches now in Ontario than there are Tim Hortons ):

Here is a good start to a new list... just chose a state or province and leave the other boxes blank... it returns a list of everything in the province

The list of Timmie's is great, but here's a good one for you. Of that list how many are located on Canadian Military bases. I know for a fact the list will be high.

I have a collection of 300+ Tim Hortons sites from a drive across Canada (Ontario to BC). S&T map

 

Currently the listing is in an Excel spreadsheet but I can change that. If anyone is interested let me know an I'll make the data available.

I can create database and web front end for the project. The GPX file I have is from Nov 2004, and only shows Ontario. If people can send me what ever they have, i can load it into a database for all to use.
