Excluding Specific Attributes from Pocket Query

I'm building a pocket query and want to exclude specific attributes.  When I click on an attribute to exclude it, it changes from white to black.  However, for some attributes, if I click it a second time, it puts a red line through it.  Others just go back to white if I click it a second time.  See screen shot.  How are these treated differently in the filtering?  Are only the ones with the red line actually excluded?  If so, what happens to the ones that are selected and do not have the red line?  I hope this makes sense.

Some attrbiutes have both positive and negative versions, like Takes less than an hour (the clock face) and Takes more than an hour (the clock face with a red stripe through it). Similarly the moon one (recommended at night) has a negative version with the red stripe that means Not recommended at night. Either the positive or negative version can be included in a search (top panel) or excluded from a search (bottom panel). For example, if you set Takes more than an hour (the clock face with a red stripe) in the exclusion panel, it would return all caches that don't have that negative attribute, which isn't the same as searching for caches that have  the positive Takes less than an hour attribute as there are a lot of caches that have neither version of the attribute. Does that make sense?

You can, but whether I'll know the answer is another matter.

I want to search around a specific location.  I got the coordinates by right clicking on the location in Google maps.  The coordinates are:  40.251356663083115, -105.82014371233805.  I can't figure out how to enter that in the pocket query.  Do you know how to do that?

You need to convert from decimal degrees to degrees and decimal minutes. To do that, take the decimal part of each of your coordinates (i.e. 0.251356663083115 and 0.82014371233805), multiply by 60 and round that to three decimal places (i.e. 15.081 and 49.209). Those give the decimal minutes, then just take the whole degrees (40 and 105) and, if it was originally positive, select the Northern/Eastern hemisphere and if negative select the Southern/Western hemisphere. So your final coordinates should look like this:

Thank you so much!  I didn't know a math degree was a requirement!  Haha!  This is so helpful.  Have a great night!
