GMRS in Canada

From what I have heard about this the GMRS Freqs have already been allocated or something like that. So I don't think you will see it in Canada but As you don't need a lic for the FRS freqs here and the radios work very well here, It is the choice for many cachers. I own a set and they are great but I would love to get a hold of a rino 110/120.

To my knowledge, there is no intention by Industry Canada to allow GMRS radio in Canada. That said, if you tune in the GMRS frequencies around the Toronto area it is clear some GMRS radios have made it north of the border. [icon_smile.gif] There are still many licensed users of the regular FRS frequencies who aren't showing any signs of wanting to move.
