3D map idea

I think this app would be amazing if we could view the map in 3D view

any other opinions on this?

The Android version of the app includes a "Terrain" map, which is described as "Street maps with topographic features". It's helpful at visualizing the terrain when you're zoomed out. The detail fades when you start zooming in though.

 

I'd prefer actual topographic maps, but I get that not everyone knows how to read them.

well they could add TOPO maps as an option and add a 3D option as well, which I think would be awesome by 3D I mean 3D buildings and other objects:)

You can view 3D building views on the Android Google maps by changing perspective using 2 fingers slide up on the map and zooming in.

For me, the map is to help figure out how best to get from where I am now to where the cache is. A scale would be really good for that, 3D buildings not so much.

I think that's a great idea!   I can't wait for this to be another benefit of Premium Membership...

I think it would be cool if basic members could experience this too not just premium members
