The state is listed on the geocache page. I guess if you zoom in you can determine what specific city. Is that what you're asking? Quote Link to comment

If by location number, you mean a GC code, then load the cache description. That should.at minimum tell you country, and state for those countries that have state information. After that, look at the map view. Every cache page has a link to maps; zoom out and look at the towns nearby. If using the app, state and country are not listed in the app description, but the app has a map. So, for example, if you're looking at GC2930G (a fine earthcache, if I may be so bold), you should see from the website that it's in Virginia, USA, and a peek at the map will show you it is near the town of Grottoes.
