+Olar
Kobayashi I was wondering about altitude also especially how high you were when the plane was stopped for 53 seconds. Oops! Sorry! Couldn't resist. Cheers, Olar "You are only young once but you can stay immature forever" Quote Link to comment
+Couparangus
How does one make a posting here with a picture attached? Quote Link to comment
+PDOP's
You have to upload the picture to your own web space then link to it. PDOP's GPS Pages Quote Link to comment
Cache Canucks
quote:Originally posted by PDOP's:"...You have to upload the picture to your own web space then link to it..." ...and, as a registered user of GeoCaching.com, you have space on the Groundspeak servers that you can use for this very purpose. Go to the page where you amend your profile information and you'll find where you can upload '.jpg' files (a process no different than when you uploaded your H50 avatar). The only restrictions are physical size (each image can be no wider than 300 pixels) and file size (each image must be no more than 100K). Once you upload your pic, you need to 'back out' of your personal profile setup page and re-enter it; then, when you go back to where you uploaded your .jpg, you should see your file listed. Click on the file and, when it opens in its own window, note the URL ...it's that URL which you'll need for placing the picture within a forum post (which you do by clicking on the little photo icon that appears second from the right on the 'Reply To' window's green tool bar). +Olar
The other way to do it is upload your pic to an archived cache if you have one of course. Then do the same thing as above. Open it, note the URL, and then link to it or display in your post. Cheers, Olar "You are only young once but you can stay immature forever" Quote Link to comment
+Hard Oiler
I also recall reading in another post that you can then go back to you personal profile or other web page and delete the image and it won't delete from the post - in other words it pastes the image into the post rather than linking it. I've done this on cache pages for the background image. I was expecting that it would eventually disappear when admin emptied the recycling bin but it hasn't happened so far.
