Curious George Posted September 26, 2003 Posted September 26, 2003 A special contest brought to you by Team Phoenix. Somewhere in Victoria there is a piece of graffiti art which resembles one of Eroyd's Avtars (we won't tell you which one). The first person to post a photo and the co-ords of the correct one (the one we chose) will win a special prize from Team Phoenix. Members of Team Phoenix, their operatives, relatives and friends are not eligible. Have fun Quote
+canadazuuk Posted September 26, 2003 Posted September 26, 2003 Yeah, where is Eroyd? I met him on a hill one time, on a logging road north of Sooke. I asked him how geocaching was going. First cacher I ever met. Quote
Mystery Woman Posted September 29, 2003 Posted September 29, 2003 I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Eroyd. The first cacher I ever met was zuuky! The terms of your contest are too restrictive, Curious George. Your friends can't win? How exactly does one know if she is a friend? Darn, I really wanted to win a "special prize" from Team Phoenix, too! Maybe I'll just post a photo and coordinates of something else and see what happens... ============================================ You can't be "FTF", but you could be next... Quote
Curious George Posted September 29, 2003 Author Posted September 29, 2003 Zuuk - nice pic, when did you get your hair done? MW - give it a go And for everyone else here is the first HINT to help you on your way........ As of the time this was posted - it is not the current Avatar that Eroyd has posted. Quote
Curious George Posted September 29, 2003 Author Posted September 29, 2003 HINT #2 - Eroyd has changed his avatar to a beautiful portrait. It's not the one either - keep looking folks Quote
Curious George Posted September 29, 2003 Author Posted September 29, 2003 HINT #3 - check Eroyd's profile page and you will find the likeness you seek. Now you must go out and find the real one. Quote
Curious George Posted September 30, 2003 Author Posted September 30, 2003 GG has found the right avatar, now you have to find the piece of graffiti which resembles it. HINT #4 - the graffiti is on a telephone pole Quote
+canadazuuk Posted October 1, 2003 Posted October 1, 2003 Are you still a geocacher Eroyd? Or are you paraflailing with clipped wings still? Quote
+eroyd Posted October 1, 2003 Posted October 1, 2003 I've been a busy little geocacher, found "Quest for Fire", 07/31 last find (nice spot) and just attempted "Crazy Canadians in Nindery", but ran into a few obstacles, namely sharks and jelly fish. Quote
Curious George Posted October 2, 2003 Author Posted October 2, 2003 HINT #5 - the pole is in an area which is highly populated with KFWB caches. Who will claim the prize??? Quote
cachewidow Posted October 2, 2003 Posted October 2, 2003 I remember now - that's not graffiti, CG, that's the impression that was left after eroyd finished banging his head against the pole. Kinda like the shroud of turin thing. "Thank you for calling Mom's Travel Service. Guilt Trips our specialty. Where would you like to go today?" Quote
Curious George Posted October 2, 2003 Author Posted October 2, 2003 Yeah that's the one - now who's gonna post a pic and the co-ords first and win Quote

+Solar Max Posted November 4, 2003 Posted November 4, 2003 What is this thing "BEER", and where might one obtain it? It has medicinal qualities, I presume? How much intelligence does it take to sneak up on a piece of tupperware? Quote
Curious George Posted November 4, 2003 Author Posted November 4, 2003 Beer = TPGGJ (Team Phoenix Go Go Juice) Get about $10 worth of grain, hops and yeast - add water and about 6 hours of labour and you'll get 10 gallons. Medicinal properties, you bet Quote
