eastickfamily
I bought my Garmin Etrex Venture from gpscentral.ca. They were competitivly priced and the shipping from Alberta was less than the Prov.Tax I would have paid in Ontario. hope that helps. Quote Link to comment
+mrcpu
Canadian Tire and Walmart are both pretty good price wise, although the selection differs from store to store. Radio Shack has a wider selection but the price isn't as good. HOWEVER, it may make more sense with a 30 day return policy and if you include shipping from an online reseller. Another great idea is to head across the border to buy one. They are a lot cheaper, even with the exchange. Rob Mobile Cache Command Quote Link to comment
+Binrat
I just ordered a Etrex Venture from www.gpscentral.ca and the price with taxes included was cheaper than Walmart sells retail so I saved at least $45.00 in taxes. You could also try these guys out as well. http://www.prairie.mb.ca http://www.maptown.com Or, since you are from Montreal try Lebaron www.lebaron.ca But, don't forget that GPSCentral is the Canadian outlet for GEOCACHING stuff, so you can order a unit PLUS get your cool GEOCACHING Gear. mtncycler
I am still new to geocaching, and have yet to purchase a GPS. I have been lucky enough to find a few caches without one. Using clues and being familiar with the areas! I was given a hint I would like to pass onto you and others.... Canadian tire does match prices, a GPS is slightly lower in price at Walmart. But Canadian tire will give you back Canadian tire money (close to$34) if you pay with cash for you purchase. some of the GPS' have a $50.oo mail in rebate. it's a good savings when you add it all up. I have yet to compare that pice with gpscentral. happy shopping Quote Link to comment
