Btw, prize to be had for a cache in central Italy!

Buon giorno! I just wanted to let any adventurous folks know that I've placed this past week a cache in Atina, Italy (regione Lazio, provincia Frosinone) that has a US $50 prize for first person to find it!

I would never criticise somebody who has new ideas and works for the comunity of geocachers withour eraning anything.

But I personally always tried to keep the money factor out of this. So why should anybody be paid for finding your cache ...

I posted the prize for it because I feel is a rather complex cache (both in calculations to do before leaving, and in the ability to get near it) and since its in a somewhat isolated area, (small town, no major tourist attractions), I thought I would provide a little incentive to trek out there

 

I understand your philosophy, and I normally agree, but made an exception this one time.

If the hider wants to provide a FTF prize, it's fully ok with me. No one has to go searching for this particular cache. I agree that this hobby is great, because everyone with a GPSr can join in for free, but having money for the FTF prize is not much more than an expensive cache treasure. I wish I was in Italy so I could go hunting this one.

Of course you're right !! And I would be the last one to reject money.

But I simply wanted to ... yes... eh... what did I want to say? Yes, money isn't everything... but sometimes hehehe...

Money is great , geocaching is great. So a cache with money is even greater !!
