Error message: The unlock code you entered was incorrect.

When I try to enter the unlock code for a cartridge I just finished, I get this error message, "The unlock code you entered was incorrect." when I paste it in.

I don't understand what I'm doing wrong.  Any help will be appreciated.

Have you tried ideas from similar Threads?

I found some older topics about "incorrect" codes, and they're all about the code being too long.  I don't know if that helps, but it's a start.  

 

Here's a topic where someone tried entering just the first 15 letters, someone uploaded the save file, and someone copied and pasted in a special way to produce plain text.

I did search these forums and did find threads about codes being to long.  The codes that I have are all 15 characters long.  Character count is not the issue.  Thanks

Which app are you using? Or, are you using the website?

Did you download the Wherigo cartridge with your account? Did you enter your unlock code with this exact same account logged in?

 

For your information, the unlock code is unique for each cartridge, depending on the account used to download it.

There is a way to enter a code gained with a cartridge downloaded by someone else. This is option 3 on the "Unlock this cartridge" website page.
