+Jones_cubed
My family and I are taking a Jeep trail and geocaching trip to CO and UT this summer. I used to love hiking, but I'm disabled now so I can't do it anymore. Now I just use our Jeep to get to the top of mountains. I'd like to snag a couple of geocaches at high elevations. Obviously they need to be reachable by Jeep, with maybe a short walk/hike that I can delegate to my husband or daughter. I've found a few by searching for the specific Jeep trail name, but that's going to get tedious. I'm looking for recommendations. We'll be in the southern half of the state and in Moab for a short time. Other than that, we're open to whatever. Quote Link to comment
+K13
There are a few atop Pikes Peak. Pretty easy access, unless things have been changed. Edited February 6, 2022 by K13 speeling Quote Link to comment
+Smitherington
I was up there on Pike's Peak in August of 20 and the construction made most of them unreachable. I did to the virtual and had to satisfy myself with only one but it is now my hight=est find. 1 Quote Link to comment

You don't mention your disability ... IF it is cardio-pulmonary in nature you may be physically stressed. During peak tourist season I have noted a first aid station with oxygen availability within the visitor center. If you are a "lunger" you probably carry your own oxygen ... just make certain you are topped off before heading up. 1 Quote Link to comment
+Jones_cubed
It does affect my cardio-pulmonary system, but it's not fully that. I don't carry oxygen. Thanks for looking out, though! It is much appreciated. I don't usually mention my disability because it's so rare most doctors say "I think I remember learning about that in med school" lol I have Mitochondrial Disease. Take care!
