Eastern Shore Geo dash

Hello everyone,

The Wicomico East Side Chamber of Commerce in Maryland is batting around the idea of putting on a geo dash and I wanted to put out some feelers to see if there is much interest out there and if there are people willing to help out with the project. Again this is just in the idea stage.

Thanks

Not familiar with a "geo dash" unless it's a subset in an event.

If you're talking about GeoTours, then Groundspeak has a form to fill out to gain more info on what you're looking for.

A Geo Dash is a 1 day event that used to be held in Wicomico County MD, The event will have 15 to 20 caches hidden around the county and the geocache-rs do not get the locations until just before the event starts, then they have so many hours to find at minimum 10 to 12 and get back to the staging area. The first 75 or 100 get a Geo coin and the FTF get something special in the caches, discounts to local business and so on... Fun day

We used to have events in our area called "shotgun events" (google it), where every team's given a starting point (coords to a cache).

Each cache has colored/numbered envelopes, and each "team" receives a piece of a jigsaw puzzle and coords to the next cache.

When filled, the puzzle back had the coords to a "bonus" area, where bags numbered by who got there first were hidden. Cool prizes.

The actual event was before/after all the people scrambling around.  They were fun.  :)
