+SD Rowdies
Just this morning I was admiring and counting my collection of Yrium cards and realized that I have 111 cards in the set. Sad, I know, an old man in his rocking chair with nothing to do but count his collector-cards. I suspect that my set of cards is incomplete with regard to a small number of misprints; however, I'd rather not know for sure. Perfect ain't possible .... What I've learned from Yrium cards is that being a collector is not an easy thing be. Collecting can drive you insane ... bwah-hah-hah! On the other hand I hear a rumor going around that soon my collection will grow by two and I anxiously await their release. Wonder what a twelve-step program for Yrium-card collecting would be like? Imagine what FlagMan goes through to support a tiny esoteric cult of Yrium-card collectors. Imagine how I feel about yet-another dash to Max's Favorite Park for my share of the cards. I can see it happening, one day I'll flip out over it and unbunch my socks. Bwah-hah-hah! Got inspired to hide a few. Dropped Team Reid Yrium Memorial Card#26 The Kiss Of Midnight Yrium TNG #1 at Clean Up...Clean Up..Has Moved! by kwvers! (GC1WMBJ) Dropped TNG Card 9, Harmon off in GC1XD8Q today! +FlagMan
Introducing Yrium TNG#11 - SKILLET: Thanks to Jahoadi and John for the subject selection, and thanks to Harmon, of course, for the design work. I'm on my way to Max's Favorite Park to drop a bunch of these cards. I wonder if anyone will beat me there?!?! There should be enough cards to go around. I'm also leaving a few sets of GMS cards. Please don't be too greedy... Quote Link to comment

We've enjoyed his hospitality so many times, we can't count, and we've enjoyed a few tours of desert, too! Congratulations, Mark!!! We grabbed one regular and one misprint for each kwvers!, The Lost Clan, zeber, Boysnbarrie, Silver Horde, and ourselves! We also grabbed the three GMS #5 cards...one for us, The Lost Clan, and zeber (#5 is an all-in-one!). We'll drop the GMS card Barrie picked up for us in a cache, so we'll only have just the one. There are still lots of cards left! Quote Link to comment

+SD Rowdies
Just for the record about two-dozen Geocachers appear on the SKILLET misprint card. Once you see it you'll probably agree that it is right and proper to call it the "Bunch of Weenies" card. If you happen to be amongst the many Geocachers that appear on that card then congratulations and welcome to your place of honor in the Yrium Hall of Fame. Honk if you see yourself there! GG was hoping for a Ginger card - as well as a walk - and I thought there might be a good chance to get a LLoT card. There were still plenty of LLoT primary and misprint cards and I took one of each. There were no other cards in the cache, though, so the Skillets went quickly indeed. BTW, the overhead lights seem to be out, or at least they were all turned off tonight, so it is VERY dark here. I can see it now, BoysnBarrie rushing there after church services wearing her finest Sunday-go-to-meeting high-heels and cha-cha dress. One thing missing at Max's Favorite Park is an online Webcam. There's a misprint in this set that seems an appropriate finale to this year of zany San Diego Geocaching. Pretty much it reveals what sort of minds are drawn to Geocaching. Don't miss this misprint ... y'all will understand when y' see it. It has been a great year for the Yrium cards, thanks ever-so much to FlagMan's devotion and dedication. For my part it is an honor to help keep Yrium's memory with us. SUPER great design. Hoping to pick mine up on the way to the mx track around 11:30. Quote Link to comment
+Cat & Bobby
Introducing the Yrium TNG #13 Card - Geo Ocotillio Campout: A decent supply (with the inevitable misprints) has been dropped in Max's Favorite Park. Also, some very unique misprints (all different cards) seem to have made their way into Pink Panther. Attaboy Tom, drop an Yrium-card on Sunday ... that should trigger a mad dash to Max's Favorite Park. We are continually amazed at how both of you find the time and artistic fervor to complete these cards, such effort would gobble up almost all available caching time for normal folks. This is another great effort and so uniquely part of the San Diego community, thanks for all the hard work. Quote Link to comment

Does this mean that I've finally hit the big-time with my pal FlagMan? To be honest it isn't work nor is it hard ... once your fingers learn all about Photoshop then the rest is easy. Well, almost easy, the actual hard part is discovering an appropriate concept for each Yrium-card. Edited December 27, 2009 by SD Rowdies Quote Link to comment
