Yrium's Geocacher Trading Cards

yrium

Gecko Gurl and I went down to Max's Favorite Park to see some stars and retrieve the reprint set.  I'll take the set up to Yrium Celebration Letterbox Cache as Flagman originally intended....

Thanks, Don! I really appreciate that!

10:20 am.

Groovy and I stopped by to pay our respects to Yrium on this, the first annivesary of his passing. We dropped off the complete set of reprints that Flagman prepared.

Bipped out there with Becca this afternoon and Passing Wind had claimed the set so there are no more cards there. Something Flagman could change at any time B) B) Nice afternoon run and peaceful moment at the top of the hill!

Bipped? B)

err..Ok maybe that's the wrong word, after posting that I realize it may not be appropriate for this cache. It's just really close to our house and I had already been there just last week for the Amusing Race so this was just a short jog. I did take the time to read through all the logs at the Yrium Celebration Cache that afternoon... B) Very cool!

This is actually a very happy cache for me due to the fact that I never had read Yrium's logs until I came across this puzzle. After laughing and laughing until I cried and feeling like I knew someone I had never met it holds a special place for me (like it does for many others)...Wish I could have met him in person!

Didn't mean any disrespect, I just like the word 'bipped'! B)B)

Didn't mean to imply disapproval. I'm starting to like the word 'bipped', as well.  :o

For most it is "bopped" but if you are light on yuor feet like Jess, then "bipped" sounds more appropriate. However, for me it is more like "bupped!"

As long is it's not, "pupped" with a long u.......

HERE YE, HERE YE!

AT NOON ON FRIDAY 7/8, I WILL ANNOUNCE THE GENERAL GENERAL GEOGRAPHIC AREA OF THE CACHE IN WHICH THE UDESIGNIT TB WILL BE DROPPED. IT WILL NOT BE IN A PUZZLE OR MULTI CACHE.

AT 1 PM ON FRIDAY 7/8, WITH CERTAIN OBSESSED CACHERS CIRCLING MADLY WITHIN AFOREMENTIONED GENERAL GEOGRAPHIC AREA IN THEIR GEO-MOBILES WITH WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS OR PHONE-A-FRIEND LIFELINES ACTIVATED, THE UDESIGNIT BUG WILL BE DROPPED (VIRTUALLY) IN A SUITABLE CACHE WITHIN AFOREMENTIONED GENERAL GEOGRAPHIC AREA.

AT 1:01 PM ON FRIDAY, TT WILL PROBABLY HAVE FOUND IT, ASSUMING, OF COURSE, THAT HE HASN'T ALREADY DEPARTED THE JURISDICTION FOR GREENER PASTURES ON THE EAST COAST!

UNTIL THE VIRTUAL DROP, THE CARD IS NOT ACTIVE -- SO FINDING IT PRIOR TO 1 PM ON FRIDAY DOES YOU NO GOOD AT ALL AND ONLY SPOILS THE RACE.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, GET READY TO START YOUR ENGINES!

BTW, Tom, I never did find out why the double-sided cards!

Turn out I was printing sheets with cards 1-6., 7-12, etc. and I mixed up the order of the pages and it printed fronts on both sides instead of fronts/backs. Just a blunder that produced an interesting result. Don calls them "double-headed nickels".....

Who is watching?

I'm eating lunch at my desk but I forgot my GPS. But I didn't need it last time! :D

Edit: The card is being dropped off somewhere in the small area west of 5 between La Jolla and Point Loma. So I'm out of this race!

Yeah, well, try it from Sandy Creek Ranch.

I'm watching but not sure if I'll be able to make the run....I'm in Sorrento Valley. I always carry a spare GPS in my backpack when I drive the cycle in. Hmmmm OB or La Jolla?

Cheers PW

Harmon, you have no chance from way down yonder! That's one reason releasing the card on weekends is better! If Jeff can't bag it this time then something's rotten in Denmark. Anyhow, I reckon you better start working on a card for somebody that is very near and dear to Jeff! :D

Flag Man is going to have a late lunch since the card is still in his possession rather than on the targeted cache page. Must be something I'm missing or do you really have to go cache to cache looking for it?

Harmon, you have to go here to see where the card will be dropped. Flagman's got one of those newfangled cell phones that let's him edit the page on the road.

Yep, I've been watching there but I'll bet that Flag Man won't drop it until somebody finds it the hard way.

Look, next round we sneak up just in time and let the air out of the tires on Jeff's Saturn. No cowboy would be caught dead driving a Saturn anyway.

What's the answer to this problem? Saturn + New Jersey + Winter = ?

Yeah, but I was hoping that there was some way around his scheme. After all, we all know how much trouble he has with his printer.

I assume that the cache is close to a good place to eat so FM can hangout and watch the festivities over lunch. So if you know of any caches that fit that description....

O, well then, Rubio's in OB no doubt.

Actually, with the tires flat the Saturn might work out for winters in New Jersey.

The other interesting possibility is that our fair-weather Tucson friend might not even know about anti-freeze.

Next round for the uDesignit card race should involve a webcam cache so we can watch too.

Now THAT is a terrific idea!!! :D

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Shouldn't you be fixin' lunch for th' girls?

The girls have eaten. The younger one is already down for her nap and the older one is writing about her frog encounter. Peace, sweet peace!

.....or what the that plug is for on the front of the car. He might have to consult with some of his Norwegian brothern in Minnesota. When it's -80 oil does'nt like to cooperate. :D

Maybe the four of us should start a new SD Wallflower Thread. We ain't got th' danged uDesignit card but at least we've got each another.

So let me be the first to ask, when TT departs our region who is in line to fill his niche?

Great, we all posted a note.

Shoot, by now we could have ridden a city bus and scored that sucker.
