+Smitherington
I am trying to look back at caches (I have previously found) by searching with the GC code. From Search on my iPad (Play then Search) From Search on Cachly on my phone From Search for Geocache on the Geocaching app on my phone On my iPad the code comes up but more and more frequently it does not take me to the cache page. It gives me a list of caches in the area of the cache with distance from the one I am searching for. On Cachly it sometimes goes to the cache but many times to the Bering Strait between Russia and Alaska. On the geocaching app it says the the cache has been archived. When I go through my list of Found caches I can click on the cache and see the listing and scroll down to my log. Why can't I go to the archived cache using the search methods above? Thanks. 1 Quote Link to comment

+Isonzo Karst
Search on the site has changed some. But it's still possible to enter the code of an archived cache and get to it. Enter GC Code Search will return 2 lines: GCCode - Name of Cache - 10 mi. radius View GCcode Click the upper line, so nicely highlighted in yellow, you'll get active caches centered on the coords of the archived cache. Click View GCCode go to the page. I don't know from Cachly Search. Geocaching app simply won't return archived Edited December 27, 2021 by Isonzo Karst 1 Quote Link to comment
+Smitherington
Thanks Isonzo Karst. With my finger on the iPad I was not being selective enough. works well if I click the right spot. Quote Link to comment
+Smitherington
Works every time. I will blame it on the fat finger syndrome on the iPad mini. Quote Link to comment
