How do I identify a damaged cache? Waukesha County Wisconsin USA.

Hello all,

 

I was out an about today in Waukesha County Wisconsin and found remnants of a geocache scatter about on the ground.  I have searched for the name and am unable to find the owner.

Any suggestions?

Could it be a letterbox cache?  If so, that may narrow down the possibilities.

If you can clearly identify any names with dates in the logbook, you could look at what caches those players found on those dates and maybe pin it down that way.

Coordinates or something that identifies the place that was found might help.

I initially checked the damaged goods, no identifying cache number or anything else was found.  However, it was found in Lapham Peak, north of the Butterfly Garden...approx. lat/long = ,43.03580493811299, -88.39093940962138.

There are a few possibilities in the area, but didn't find the cache it belongs to.  Or at least most are too small, others just not right.

GC54CE4 - Trail Travel Bug Hut

GC12NK5 - The Grid

This may just have to remain a mystery!

I think what you've found is a letterbox hidden using a different site. and not a geocache.  On that site is a user named SeerMeesh and this may be theirs. You can contact them through that site by username saying you found it by accident.  Not sure I can mention the site's name here so if you'd like I'd be happy to send you the link if you message me

Agree with Twinklekitkat,  this seems to be one of 86 letterboxes that "letterbox site" user placed.   

They've been in the hobby around ten years.  I emailed them JIC they're interested.
