+Harry Dolphin
Out caching in the snow flurries today. The nuvi got me to the parking spot. eTrex 30x pointed 5420 miles away. Reset the eTrex, and it said 138'. Then it went back to 5420 miles. Gave up after two caches. When I got home, I figured out it was pointing to 0,0. It seems to work okay now. Something wrong with the satellites today? Or with my GPSr? Quote Link to comment

+chuck4564
I have seen that happen on my Garmin. It appears to be map and cursor location dependent. I attribute it to a corrupt map feature that may be zoom dependent. In my experience it has only occurred on only a specific map feature/cursor position. Move the cursor away from that feature and things are back to normal. 1 Quote Link to comment
