+barefootjeff Posted November 5, 2021 Share Posted November 5, 2021 Most often it's a spur-of-the-moment thing, like today which was meant to be raining but when it wasn't I thought I should make the most of the opportunity to do some caching and remembered one about 40km north of here that had been published just after the lockdown ended last month. Sometimes one of my caching friends will mention a cache in one of the FB groups I frequent, or has put out a new one of their own, and sometimes I decide to go off somewhere, say a day trip to Sydney or Newcastle, and I'll check the browse map to see what caches are in the area. About the only ones I put much planning into are my milestone finds (one of those involved a trip to Lord Howe Island which had to be booked months in advance) and any challenge caches that I'm doing.
