Access Fee Change At Fayetteville County, Georgia reservoir parks.

There's a new sign at Lake Horton in Woolsey, Georgia, and it will apply at the other Fayetteville County reservoir parks:

"Effective January 1, 2022, daily parking pass fees will be discontinued. All vehicles with a Non-Fayette County tag must display an annual pass for admission. An annual pass can be purchased for $300.00. This applies to the Fayette County Reservoir parks: Lake Horton, Lake Kedron, and Lake McIntosh. For information, contact Parks & Recreation at 770.716.4321."

This is an OK deal for persons who fish in the reservoir for at least 2 days a week (instead of the current $5 daily out-of-county fee for a vehicle). It's not such a good deal for out-of-county Geocachers who intend to hunt the caches for a day, except that fewer people in general will visit, so the caches may stay in better condition.  Out-of-county Geocachers will need some creative planning to hunt these caches.

Other counties may follow suit, so check on that if you cache near the Atlanta area.
