Dr. Boggis
Hi folks, I picked up a Travel Bug yesterday, and his aim is to get to the ocean....so I'm looking for a cache near the Pacific. I was going to put him in Whale Bones by Ruscal, but the cache is out of commission at the moment. Any suggestions for a suitable cache? Boomer is quite a big lizard so it'd have to be something non-micro. Quote Link to comment
Kite and Hawkeye
I'm having a hard time thinking of a sizeable cache near the ocean... Sunset Cache by Team Gingka or Fly Away With Me by Ruscal are probably large enough, but they're both on the bluffs, not really down at the water's edge. We haven't actually found Gromit's Runaround, but it sounds like it may be what you're looking for. Quote Link to comment
Dr. Boggis
Cool. Looks like Sunset Cache might be the one, the TB is quite pliable so he'd fit in the box for that one. Also it would be a short drive from my lab, so I could do a lunchtime cache-and-dash. As you say though, it's not that close to the water's edge. Hang on a minute - why would you want to drink sea-water anyway? Even if you were a lizard?! Quote Link to comment
Dr. Boggis
Actually, the best one could be Pirate's Hideaway - and I'd get a FTF for it too, if I could get there. Been meaning to do a handful of "get-wet" caches for a while now... Quote Link to comment
Kevin & Susan
Too bad this one is archived: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=15323 The name fits the ''bug''! Quote Link to comment
Dr. Boggis
dadgum, that would have been perfect! I'm a Scuba diver too, so it would be ideal. Maybe it will be replaced now it's been located.... Quote Link to comment
