BUG: Images embedded in <img /> tags from external web sites not displayed

Does anyone know if there is an issue with images not displaying in cache pages where the images are externally hosted? I have several such caches and despite the images working when loaded from GSAK or pasting in the URL to the image directly, it is not displayed on the cache page.

Example:

https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC6210N_word-games-iii

has embedded:

http://www.noikmeister.emu.id.au/GC6210N/puzzle1.jpg

which works fine.

I can see the embedded image on the cache page okay in Firefox. What browser are you using? I believe Chrome now blocks embedded images that are http rather than https so that might be the problem.

Hum that strange on my Android phone and with Edge on my computer I am unable to see it but no issue with Firefox as proved before by barefootjeff

Chrome and all chromium based browsers, like MS Edge, will not show these images because they are hosted on a webspace that is is missing the necessary security certificates, as evident by it being HTTP vs HTTPS.

 

It's a google decision and has nothing to do with Geocaching.com.
