Central Valley Cachers

Did anyone get a picture? Hmmm...nope not me that would mean admitting I took part in it. There is a rumor that a picture was taken with a certain Naked Cacher. Fitting for the forum, sure. Poor...oops almost incriminated myself.

Oh Bill you should have been there is right! We all had a blast. We even had a MAC/CVC group photo taken. Just waiting for Tom to post the pics. That reminds me I even took pics of the CVC kids but I do not know how to post a pic here so I will have to email them to Tom. Great times had by all there.

Now, someone and I think Sanruft and Nascar Fam started the discussion (jokingly of course) that we should rent a bus to road trip it out there for GW7. Great idea! I think we should make it a reality. How do we look into that? Do those buses stop on a dime when cachers yell, "STOP, a cache is right there!"? :)

Or... it could have proven you weren't walking around in CVC Tag!!! apparel with a big old TB Tattoo across your...

And as far as caching in the buff, that's already happened in that area. There was a cache up there that was near impossible to get to and one of the surprises in the pursuit (as I understand the story) was that you had to get wet. The FTF was said to have barely found it (if you know what I'm saying).

Which one of these will be the new Manteca TB Hotel? HMMM

How about the Green and White one beyond the yellow M&M?!

For historical reference:

I thought we had some interesting folk here in the valley. I just discovered that there was some NUDE caching occuring up in Sacramento recently!!! icon_biggrin.gif<!--graemlin::ph34r:--> Yes, it's true..really!! NUDE NUDE NUDE! <BR><BR>Sounds kinda fun, huh??<BR><BR>Jaimee icon_smile.gif<!--graemlin::)--><BR><BR>Before criticizing others, you should walk a mile in their shoes. Am I understanding that CVC Tag!!! showed up... in PERSON?! Oh my. I have two questions:

(1) Did anyone get a picture of her?

and ...

I know I'm going to regret this...

Now, I'm no crime scence investigator but I do watch a lot of TV and those sure do look like two different jackets to me. Multiple perps??

(At least they used camo tape)

a. Please see my post on CVC Tag. Tag had quite a time this weekend.

b. Here's the group picture! Guess which one of these folks was in the bathroom when the picture was taken. :D :D

I think they were trying to get the bird to use for the Tar and feathers. Glad I put a stop to that.

What again did you put a stop to?? :anibad:

getting ahold of the bird for the feathers.

Don't you worry Greg, we have a great selection of feathers already. Likewise, we have plenty of hot tar.

You also just added another charge to your indictment by posting that picture. Finally, you added a third charge by admitting you took 45 minutes to find a 1/1 cache in PLAIN SIGHT! :D:D:D

And as far as being indicted... one of those two fake CVC Tag!!! characters was wearing cloths that matches the dark cloths Tom was pictured in. What were the chances?!! :anibad:

Actually, BOTH of Tag's temporary containers are in the group photo. :D

The fact that anyone's in that line up makes them a suspect in my book. That includes the super imposed as well as the photographer. I think the confession that I just got from the prime suspect lists the key parties involved. :D

Like I said Earlier, Why are these two always around when Miss Tag is taken out of bounds?:D:anibad::wub:

Well, this time, we had some inside intelligence that a dastardly guy was grabbing tag to take her across county lines. This person actually posted his intensions on Geocaching.com and sent emails when the deed was done.

In a strict sense, is a violation of the Mann Act, which states:

"The United States White-Slave Traffic Act of 1910 banned the interstate transport of females for “immoral purposes.”

Now the same individual is attempting to divert attention away from himself by posting insults against the heroes that rescued poor Tag. :DB)

I've been out of the loop too long. When did Tag become female? Was surgery involved? Oh My! :D

I first heard about Miss Tag being a famale when I went to Boga's event. My first event. Its Murder Out there!! When Bill Brought a bunch of her Babies.

But back to the topic on hand. :D:) See I can play fair. I did have tag and I can play by the rules. But on the two occasions that I have taken Miss Tag out of the are it was to events where she beged me to go and meet other people. Bill I had nothing to do with her getting TB. I think she did that in your care while you were moving her. By the way Bill, glad to see you out Caching.

As much as I'd enjoy throwing the book at him, that law can't be applied to this case as Tag was never taken out of state (this time).

in·tra·state (ntr-stt)
adj.
Relating to or existing within the boundaries of a state.

in·ter·state (ntr-stt)
adj.
Involving, existing between, or connecting two or more states.

Yes. This was a surprise to many of us - until she was escorted off to several countries! [i think this was were Tom's law reference would have worked! LOL]

By the way Bill, glad to see you out Caching.

Thanks. It's like ridding a bike...

Those are CVC Tag!!! want-a-be's. The one clearly says "CVC Tag!" and the other "CVC Tag". CVC Tag!!! has made many mistakes in her life but at least she knows how to spell her name.

Uh, Bill? Those are the exact same sign! :D I was a witness to CVC Tag morphing from an ordinary 35mm film canister to a rather large man shape and later to a rather smaller female shape and finally saw it morph into a ringer. Though I had absolutely NOTHING to do with TAG being taken to GWV!

OK OK. I and I only had everything to do with it going out of bounds. Bring on the tar and feathers. She was crying and crying that she wanted to go. but what happend to the little misses after that was out of my control. :anibad::D

Gee. I wonder if any judge (or at least the one you're going to get) will agree with that?! :D

WolfGrrl, It would be great to do that with the bus. Could you imagine how how many caches we would get along the way. OK I was talking to bill about doing a day Caching event on June 15th (Fathers day) or Saturday. Saturday would probably work better. start with meeting for coffee in morning and cache all day then meet for dinner that nite. Any thoughts on this?

There will be no Tar and Feathering at this event... :D:D:anibad::D:)

For two days now I have not gotten anything Via Geocaching.com. So I called Groundspeak today and as soon as I said Comcast they told me that they are having issues with comcast and Emails are being blocked on alot of there costomers. She suggested that I use another Email other than comcast. I just thought I would pass this on to you all. Happy Caching.

I'm not sure Father's Day or weekend would be a good date for an event. I know for us we will be gone on the 15th. We have something tentatively planned on the 14th. Most people take off for the weekend. If it happens, I hope all has a good time.

We did however run into a MAC cacher this weekend all the way in my old stomping grounds! We went camping at Mt. Madonna this weekend. We used to go all the time when we lived over there. We just finished a 7 mile hike and we were sitting around the campfire waiting for the coals to be ready when a truck pulled up in front of our Jeep. We look and some people got out but we weren't sure why they were walking towards us. Then a familiar face appeared from the other side and who would it be? It was 2 for the Road! Ok at least half of the team. We couldn't believe it! They spotted our Jeep (by way of TB) by the deer and saw what campsite we were in so they thought they would come by to see who it was. Indeed a special treat to see a MAC cacher two weekends in a row! We were introduced to gtcsdad and they were able to claim our very special TB's. We had a nice chat. Small world!

On that note (camping that is), we need to get a CVC/MAC camping event put together! I am willing to help in any capacity that I can, just let me know.

That sound Great. Kim is there a group campround area where we can get some sites close together at Camanche? or where is it that the Mac Group have there annual campout. ( I can bring Tag there and still be in bounds right?):D

You're not allowed within 200 feet to Tag (remember the restraining order). :)

But she really gets upset when she does not go to events....:D

So... she'll have to figure out another route there. Right?! :D Kind of like a good puzzle or a cold case mystery. Maybe her lawyer should take her. :)

Is there another lawyer in CVC? Or is BOGA trying to suck me into this? :D

Hi Everyone,

 I just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. I'm Trysha from Riverbank (near Modesto). I'm a very new cacher, and my exploring buddy is my 9yo daughter, Katie.

We learned of geocaching from my boss in Massachussetts who caches with his whole family. I bought a GPS and Katie and I found one of WolfGrrl's caches as our very first find! So we're hooked, but challenged by a lack of time to really dive in as much as we'd like.

Speaking of WolfGrrl, she's been SO incredibly kind and supportive just via email and answered so many questionns already. She has nothing but good things to say about the CVC'ers so I thought I'd look up the thread and say hello!

I hope to meet many of you soon...thx for letting me pop in!

Welcome Trysha! CVC has a wonderful group of cachers, with the ones on the northern end of the territory the best!

Hi Bug'sMom! Welcome to Geocaching and the CVC forum. This is where you get to know the local characters a bit more, that's for sure.

If you are interested, I've just posted a new event in Merced for June 28th, Merced Morning Muffin Mania. Please come and meet some local cachers and cache around Merced. We'd love to meet you  .

Oh, and all the rest of you are invited too!!!

Hi Trysha!

Welcome to CVC land! Yes - there are a lot of nice folks in the SOUTH (Ted is a lawyer, so you know he is a paid advocate for the North.)

But, please watch out for WolfGrrl! She is questionable at best. I mean, how many people do you know would stick their head into a toilet seat - just for fun???:lol:

Welcome Trysha to this Wonderful Group. There are some great people here. I just posted that we will be comming to the event in Merced. We have not done any caching in Merced besides the Embankment but I am sure we should be able to get alot that day.

Wow thanks everyone for the warm welcome! I don't know yet about this North vs. South thing, but I smell trouble coming from EVERY direction ha ha!! I love it!

I will check our calendar and see if we can make it to merced later this month--I'd love to go to a group thing, but we have a lot of (extended) family commitments these days...my dad passed away recently, and my father in law and g'ma-in-law are both having a lot of troubles lately. They're all a couple hours away as well, so we are spending a lot of weekends in the bay area (my family) and in Porterville (my hubby's family) right now.

Again thank you so much for the warm welcome. I can't wait to get to know you all better

Trysha

p.s. "TinkyBug" my daughter says to tell you all "hi"...apparently she can't get to bed without witnessing me posting that. She's got her own id on here so all her finds from day 1 will count.

HAVE A GREAT NIGHT!

Welcome!!

You will not find a nicer bunch of cachers anywhere on the planet then right here in the CVC. (MAC included in this description of the CVC).

Hope to meet you caching one day!
