+GeoSharks
Nice day today in Sacramento, not too hot. We where able to find two out of three new caches in the South Sac area. Good to see some new ones that aren't along the American river bike trail. Alan "Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes." Quote Link to comment
+glenn95630
I heard a body was found 'near hiking trails near Rainbow Bridge in Folsom.' I wonder how close it was to the caches there. Not too many things would be creepier than finding a body while looking for a cache! Quote Link to comment
Trickster and Red Rover
Yeah, Glenn, we were thinking along the same lines: I wonder if geocachers found the body? What would we do if WE found a body? (answer: freak out, call the police!) Let's just hope something like this doesn't happen to any of us. -- Bob & Genny Quote Link to comment

+GeoSharks
What happened to this Sacto thread? Thought I would kick it back up on the list... Quote Link to comment
+Jeo
There as been quite a bit of goings on behind the scenes. Sorry didn't mean to leave anybody out. The most recent has been a grueling hike to Pyramid peak by Glenn95630 and M@ on Sat; and an attempted hike by me (Jeo) by a different route to catch Halfway There cache on the way to Pyramid peak. My way was a bust but "I'LL BE BAACK!" I did get the other caches but it was a liitle too steep to get to Room @ the Top from Halfway There. I saw lots of wildlife ( I think it was the Spam and even helped fix a flat tire for a beer. Quote Link to comment
+glenn95630
I've been using my GPSr playing MinuteWar a lot lately. It involves more driving and less hiking so that is not so good, but it is an interesting change from cache hunting. Take a look at www dot minutewar dot org if interested. P.S. K8 went on that grueling hike up Pyramid also. Quote Link to comment
+SquirrelNutKins
Hey fellow cacheheads, I have brought down from Ashland a traveling cache that originally was intended to go to So. Cal but now needs to go East. For those that are interested, check out: Traveling Cache Good luck. Quote Link to comment
Ron Streeter
. . Just noticed the SquirrelNutkin post directly above mine ! This cartoon is for all Sacramentans to enjoy, and an invitation to come down to the central valley where we have lots of caches for you guys to explore. I've never been lost. Fearsome confused sometimes, but never lost. [This message was edited by Ron Streeter on October 02, 2002 at 08:40 AM.] Quote Link to comment

+NightKnight
Thanks Ron, I've hit a few of your caches, and I'm heading to deep Sacto. County and San Joaquin County this weekend. Makes for a nice motorcycle ride with the other half. Thanks for some fun cache's. Quote Link to comment
+MikieP
Time to wake up, Sacramento cachers! A group of nine of us, believing that it is OK to venture south of Elk Grove, headed down to Lodi for the first of what we hope will be more field trips into Central Valley territory. And we discovered that there are lots of caches with lots of variety just waiting for us. I notice that someone has already noticed the name we gave our little band: the River City GeoCaching Society. And ours is not an exclusive group; all Sacramento cachers are welcome. So lets get down there and get noticed even more - lets get out of our parks and into the wilderness that awaits us out there! Quote Link to comment
+McIrish
Great day with our Sacramento Group!!! "Happiness is not a destination. It is a method of life." Quote Link to comment
+Wetpaws
The River City Geocaching Society sounds like fun! When are you guys going again? Can I tag along? Quote Link to comment
Catfish & Company
Catfish & Company is looking forward to spending New Year's Day outdoors (weather permitting). We thought about going west toward the ocean, but may stay in the area. Any suggestions? We are newbies and have to date found 2 caches. We are looking forward to the next outing with the River City Geocaching Society! Quote Link to comment

Ron Streeter
...has a nice ring to it and..... ...did you know that when 10 of you come to Stockton and find 17 caches (mostly mine I think) that my email mail-carrier practically has a heart attack carrying all those messages? Of course I love answering them and having my caches found by all you folks. I think I own Sac a visit ! Ron I've never been lost. Fearsome confused sometimes, but never lost. Quote Link to comment
Ron Streeter
....a favor to ask. Can you check my note on the FUN GUY and if possible do a check on it.
