+PISA-caching
I've gone through some of my older waymarks in Norway and noticed that I haven't chosen a region for several of them. Now I wanted to add the correct region, but this is possible for some waymarks and not with others. For example: https://www.Waymarking.com/waymarks/wmX3JT If I edit this waymark, it shows the "State / Province:" dropdown and I can add a region https://www.Waymarking.com/waymarks/wmVQH0 If I edit this waymar, the "State / Province:" dropdown is completely missing Any idea for the reason? 1 Quote Link to comment
+FamilieFrohne
Um ... no - currently no idea. But a strange behaviour indeed. But speaking of regions: I've noticed, that for waymarks posted for Denmark there is no selection of the regions possible (Denmark has five: Nordjylland, Midtjylland, Syddanmark, Sjælland and Hovedstaden). Probably there are some other countries with the same "problem" - I didn't check. But it would be really nice, if someone with the according knowledge (and access to the databases) could fix it. Maybe it is not the same problem, but I see this quite often. It is a refresh issue. The list of regions is loaded in the background after the page is initialized and this does not always work quick enough. Usually it helps to change the country to another one, wait a second and then change back to the correct one. Then the list appears. 1 Quote Link to comment
+PISA-caching
Thanks for the hint. It worked. I changed to "North Korea" and back to Norway and the regions are there. Quote Link to comment

Erik. There are more than 4,000 waymarks for Denmark. Even IF Groundspeak would add these regions for future waymarks in Denmark, we would still have the problem of 4000 waymarks with no region. Wasn't there a technical solution for this, when the regions for France were changed? Quote Link to comment

I don't know. But I can think of a solution based on the Nominatim-API (see https://nominatim.org/release-docs/develop/api/Reverse/). Quote Link to comment
