Secure Bike Mount for Oregon 700

My son does a lot of biking on rough trails and indicated to me that there doesn't appear to be a really secure mount available for his Oregon 700. Unfortunately, it has launched into the bush on more than one occasion. Still works okay though, lol. Is there a more secure mount for that device? Thank you. Regards

As compared to what ?  You didn't say what he was having issues with.  :)

We've gone through a lot, and years ago the mounts that often came with them worked great for a while. Seem "cheaper" now.

We've been a fan of Ram mounts for some time, and even have old nuvi 660s with them on the Harleys.

I may be getting too old to climb on a 29er soon (go back to 26"),  but I haven't lost a phone or GPSr yet.

No, he didn't say what mount he had. I thought perhaps there might be one outstanding, tough mount for the Oregon 700. Thanks for your reply.

This RAM mount cradle is great:

That’s the part that holds the Oregon.  The trick now is bolting or clamping it to the bike.  I guess to the hand rail?  Here’s an idea:

I don’t test or sell these, they’re just ideas I found just  now.

The cool thing about RAM mounts is there are many mounting options and weight capacities.  And depending on the build-up, it can be adjusted to just the right angle and secured.

That Garmin cradle is pretty secure.  It’s the only one I’d use in my car.

And see this:  https://www.rammount.com/part/RAP-274-1-GA31U

I know I'm a bit late, but the Garmin mount works great. I've never had a problem with it. I used it on both bicycles and motorcycles. Bike/cart Mount | Garmin

I will say, that one needs to make sure that the unit is properly connected to the mount. If not, then the unit may come off. Be sure to feel the unit click in the mount.

That's the one I use on both my bikes and I've not had the Garmin fly off. I have an Oregon 750
