+thelostmores
Hi, Sorry if there is already a topic for this but my question is as follows... I hid my first cache on 29/05/21. I realised that the coordinates I submitted were wrong so I posted a reviewer note explaining this and I left the correct (or so I thought) coordinates. I got a reply today from the lovely reviewer saying that they had changed the coords and temporarily disabled the listing so I could re submit. After resubmitting the cache, I checked and double checked but silly me had given the wrong coordinates yet again. I posted another note apologising and assuring the reviewer that the coordinates I was about to post were 100% correct this time. will I have to wait another 7 days or so for my cache to be looked at and for the coords to be changed again resulting in a further wait? Or because it was a resubmission, will it go through quicker? thank you 1 1 Quote Link to comment
Keystone
It would save time if you fixed your coordinates yourself on the edit page, rather than asking the reviewer to perform the coordinate conversion for you again. In managing workflow, it is natural for a Reviewer to publish caches quickly when no work on our end is required, and postpone those which require additional work until time is available, like on a Sunday evening or whenever the Reviewer is less busy. Read Help Center articles, including this one, to learn more about coordinate formats. Use a converter tool such as the one at boulter.com if you don't understand the math. 4 Quote Link to comment
+Jayeffel
On the Geocaching.com page for your cache look to the right and you will see a box where you can edit what you wrote and change the coordinates. Click the Update Coordinates and do what is directs you to do. Now if the coordinates are off a good ways, I think @ 528 feet ( the minimum distance between traditional caches) may not be that, the system may require you to contact your reviewer for assistance. Keystone
Jayeffel, the instructions you gave are for a cache that's already been published. On an unpublished cache like the OP's, coordinates are freely editable directly in the "Edit Cache" process. 1 Quote Link to comment
+thelostmores
Thank you for your help, could you possibly point me in the direction of the “edit cache” page? It just says that to edit it I will need to cancel the submission? Is this something I need to do? many thanks Edited June 4, 2021 by thelostmores Quote Link to comment

I've done that a few times when I've spotted a typo in the description just after clicking Submit and it hasn't delayed publication. Quote Link to comment

This is just a helpful hint: before you submit a geocache for publication, look at the coordinates on the map, and then zoom in. Is it even in the right City? Near the right Street? This is a good way to catch fat fingering or incorrect coordinate conversions. Good luck with your first geocache. 1 Quote Link to comment
