I have many German Umlaute like ÄäÖöÜü... ...in URWIGO I can "build a package" (gwz) for upload at Wherigo.com with UTF-8. Wenn I use "Compile" at Wherigo.com and download it then, it works. Does anyone knows if it also works if I upload it "normal"? Quote
+Tungstène Posted May 20, 2021 Posted May 20, 2021 It all depends of what you mean by "it works". Did you try your cartridge on all Wherigo-capable devices? I'm sorry to tell that it won't work, depending of the Wherigo player you'll use. There is a way, though. sTeamTraen did a really good job with his Earwigo Wherigo Web Builder. Cartridges created with it contains some code taking care of that. As far as I know, this is the only Wherigo Builder which is able to manage with this. Background information: Groundspeak and Garmin never took accented characters into account. Only 7-bit ASCII encoding is "officially supported". Quote
