Garmin Etrex 35 power button came off! Help, want to replace.

Iv got a Garmin Etrex 35 and the intergrated power button made of flexi silicone has perished and came off! Has anyone replaced the button or the front case completely? Is it difficult? Do I need to replace the glass also?
I spoke to garmin and they wanted to replace with a refereed unit for £80! Please help

There's a lot of careful prying involved with these things, things that were glued together, and floppy parts to put back in place in sequence.  I changed the touch screen on my Oregon 550, and it was only a little bit nerve-wracking.  :cute:

 

But see this, for an inexpensive idea that you could try first (Warning:  Loud porn music).  If it doesn't hold up, you can still do the bigger repair later:
