distance indicator when selecting cache from a map.

Hi, I have a Samsung SM A520F Android 8.0.0 phone with the Groundspeak app version 8.47.1. 

When I use the app I select a cache from the map, this will indicate a distance to the cache - but it will not change as I get closer to the cache, for example it may say 0.6 miles to the cache and this will not change.  If I open the cache and select "navigate" it then will give an accurate distance to the cache.  If I then log that cache and move on to the next one it will show the distance from the point I selected the first cache, this may be 0.8 miles, if I then go to navigate it will show me 0.2 miles from the cache.

I have tried to delete and re install but this has made no difference, I have also tried it on more than one occasion and have tried in totally different areas. 

This is a feature that used to work but seems to have stopped playing the game.
