Conducting a CITO event

I am reaching out to the wonderful Geocaching community as I am thinking about setting up a CITO event. I have never done this before. I am running a council and district level Geocaching events for scouting in the Northeast. The scouting program has public hides on BSA property and is intended to promote Geocaching to Scouting and also to expose Geocachers to scouting as these are on BSA camp property. Along this line I am toying with the idea of running a CITO event to further expose Scouts and Geocachers. If anyone have any ideas, thoughts, suggestions or memories of cool CITO events I would appreciate it if you can share with me. We all know the importance of the environment and a CITO would be a great opportunity for all involved to participate. it would especially be good for the scouts as scouting embraces the love of our land and the game.
