Found a benchmark - how to log it when it isn't listed on Waymarking.com or geocaching.com or NGS

I found a benchmark on the ground by a cache. I took a pix. I wanted to log it, but I can't find a listing for it. What do I do?

If it's not already a waymark, why not create one for it! Your contribution would be appreciated!

Confirmed. I don't see it listed as a Benchmark Waymark. Go for it!

We're well-over a hundred benchmarks now that aren't in the system, and we simply forgetaboutit (until actual retirement maybe).     

It sounded to me that Max and 99 were referring ("I don't see it listed as a Benchmark Waymark") to Waymarking,  another location hobby.
