How do I delete caches from my GSPMAP 64s?

I have not used my GPS in a few years and I can not for the life of me remember how to delete the caches on the GPS. I need to put in a fresh PQ.

Connect your GPS to a computer via-USB and search for a folder named GPX, also on any smart card in case you have any.

Then, just delete the content of the folder, or those files that you don't want to keep.

Later... you will proceed in the same way to place any new PQs inside the GPX folder(s).

I don't believe you need to, at least I don't. Every time I download a new PQ GPX file into my GPSMap 64st using GSAK, the old file disappears. Maybe the 64 series can only contain one GPX file at a time.

That only works if you are downloading the same PQ you created before, which will carry the same filename.  If a new PQ is created, it will have a new filename, and sit alongside anything already on the device.

As has already been suggested:  Connect to your PC.  Navigate to the Garmin/GPX folder.  Delete all *.gpx files found there.  Load your new PQ afterward.
