+zapparules Posted February 16, 2021 Share Posted February 16, 2021 A curious thing....Upgraded the Magellan Explorist GC firmware to v 2.15.....took a break for a while from caching so the last version I used was 1.85. I dropped a few GPX files into the GC and they appeared fine however 1) the hint was not decoded, 2) there were no logs. I opened the files in Easy GPS and the hint was fine and there were logs. A glitch or am I doing something wrong here? Never had this issue previously... Thanks, Mike. Quote Link to comment
+TeamRabbitRun Posted February 16, 2021 Share Posted February 16, 2021 Back when the GC was popular and commonly used, there was a LARGE &^$@storm online with the 2.15 upgrade because it 'broke' so many functions. Because of that, I've never upgraded mine. It is possible to downgrade it back to 1.85; you'll find the procedure if you poke around even though it's been years. IIRC, there was nothing in the upgrade that was particularly useful, so I've never felt disadvantaged by having mine down-level. Good luck! Quote Link to comment
