+Geocaching HQ 369
Release Notes (Website and Geocaching® app: friends’ logs) - February 11, 2021 With today’s release, we are adding the functionality to see your friends’ logs in the Geocaching® app. When looking at the logging activity of a geocache, tap on “Friends” to see which of your friends has logged the cache! Please note that for Android, this features is available in version 8.41.0 (due the roll out time frame it might take a couple of days before you will see this version). To add more friends, go to your friends list on Geocaching.com and search for other players to add as friends. With this update, we have also added the link to view all logs to the quick links on the cache details page on Geocaching.com. Click “View all logs”, then select “Your Friends’ Logs” to see only your friends’ logs. Nicole (nykkole) is watching this thread to answer questions whenever possible. Any posts in this thread should relate to features in this release. Comments unrelated to the release may be removed. Please direct unrelated comments to other appropriate threads. I spoke too soon. I like the idea of the function, but heck if I can't find it on my android. I followed instructions, didn't see it. Uninstalled and installed again. Still don't see it. Edited February 12 by Max and 99 Deleted screen shot - no longer needed. 1 1 Quote Link to post

nykkole 67
Thank you for pointing this out. I should have mentioned in the release notes that with the roll out Android it might take a couple of days before you will see this feature on Android! I'll update the OP. Quote Link to post
+mustakorppi 158
The update text in the app store says that premium members should now also see their current streak, D/T grid and geocaching milestones in the app. I can’t actually find that feature in the app, and it’s not mentioned here on the forums; did it get postponed or something? +Annie Organ 1
Please ignore my earlier question; I found the info. Edited February 16 by Annie Organ Oops, never mind! Quote Link to post
+mustakorppi 158
Having used the feature for a few days now, I think it would be nice if your own logs were on a special tab too (included on the friends tab or I guess it could be a third tab too) 1 Quote Link to post
+Max and 99 2219
I expected to see it on the Android app but nothing so far. This is actually a feature I will use so I'm excited about it. I agree with what the others have said it'd be nice to have a separate tab for my own logs. Edited February 16 by Max and 99 1 Quote Link to post

The web site shows All Logs | Your Logs | Your Friends’ Logs. I’d have expected the App to show the same. Being able to see my own logs, particularly on my own caches (OMs, etc.), would be really useful. 1 Quote Link to post
+Lynx Humble 459
I have a date format different in the friends tab (m/d/yr) on the Geocaching app than as the one in All tab (yr/m/d) on Android. Also like the other suggested please add a tab for our own logs. Quote Link to post
+SpiritGuide 33
Does the friends list show logs even if they've NOT opted-in for sharing of data? It looks like there is a difference between friends in the HQ app versus API partner apps. 1 Quote Link to post
+Max and 99 2219
I can finally see the Friends tab on activity! Please add a tab for my own logs. 1 Quote Link to post

Data isn't being shared to a third-party developer if you're using Groundspeak's own app. Edited February 18 by mustakorppi 1 Quote Link to post

I can confirm this issue with the date format. Here, as in many parts of the world outside the USA, the date format is dd/mm/yyyy, and that's used in logs under the All tab, but under the Friends tab it insists on using mm/dd/yyyy. This can become very confusing when the day of the month is 12 or less. Edited February 18 by barefootjeff Spelling 1 Quote Link to post
+mustakorppi 158
I get dd.mm.yyyy on both tabs. That is correct for my home location, but my website preferences are set to mm/dd/yyyy... Quote Link to post
+Max and 99 2219
My format is the almost same for both tabs, but as shown in barefootjeff's screenshot my friends have the whole year and the "all logs" have the last two digits of the year. Edited February 18 by Max and 99 Quote Link to post
nykkole 67
Thank you for the feedback! Adding your own logs is on the whishlist for future features! I will look into the date format issue, thanks for pointing that out! Quote Link to post
+barnold 3
the all logs tab has dates dd-mm-yyyy, the friends tab has mm/dd/yyyy my website preference is dd Mmm yy so quite a mix. 2 Quote Link to post

I don't have an iPhone and haven't experienced that problem, but from what I've read from others who have, uninstalling the app and reinstalliing it generally seems to work. Quote Link to post
