+73Turtle Posted February 8, 2021 Posted February 8, 2021 Greetings from London Ontario. Id like to make a request of the geocache community and it is the return of the traditional cache. My family and I miss the good ole days of finding a cache that was more then a film can with log book inside. It was great to see the look on faces as they open treasure not just sign a book. So please lets make an effort to hide real treasure holding caches to inspire our young and old a like to search for treasure. Thanks and happy searching..... Stay Safe 1 2 1 Quote
Keystone Posted February 8, 2021 Posted February 8, 2021 New caches are not currently being published in Ontario, due to the pandemic lockdown. Fortunately, there are nearly 600 large or regular size Traditional Caches within 50 miles of London, which you have not yet found. 1 Quote

Why don't you start placing those big Traditional caches when possible again?... I bet they would set a nice example. 1 Quote

You may still have time to plan. Quote
+73Turtle Posted February 10, 2021 Author Posted February 10, 2021 I do have several traditional caches ready to go as soon as this global situation gets sorted out. I just hope everyone one else does too Quote
+thebruce0 Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 @73Turtle As one living an hour from London I can tell you there are loads of traditional geocaches to be found in our region! But I apparently tend to avoid London's area because there is definitely a higher amount there of geocaches that aren't ... as 'fun' I get your desire to see more 'traditional' (whether literal or cache type) geocaches for the experience. If you're willing to travel and get beyond the city limits, especially other towns or countries, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Quote
