+djgr
Staying in Yuma Arizona for 2 months and want to spend most of the time caching, having come from Washington State western side, the most I've had to worry about it is finding a bunch of slugs, snails or spiders in crevices, stumps, or holes that I put my hand in. Hoping to get some advice about what not to stick my hand in, any special TOTT, I have a geopooch with me and am concerned about her nosing around and getting hurt. Are there critters I should be aware of. I have looked at a couple of caches and they require a Arizonia State Lands Permit, but when I checked the area out, it looked more like a vacant lot. How concerned should I be about the permit. Any tips would be appreciated djgr Quote Link to comment

+captnemo
Don't live in Yuma but have cached there a couple of times and the area has a ton of good caches thanks to the Mega event held there in the spring, except this year. The only precaution is the same with any desert area. Don't stick your hands in anywhere you can't see, tip over rocks, boards etc. with a stick and tip it from the far edge towards you, Be careful picking up cache containers. Quote Link to comment
