I am finding more caches that are high  up in a trees. At my age I am hesitant on climbing trees.  I want to live to cache another day.   Looking for recommendations for a portable ladders or other TOTT used to retrieve these caches.

Only 65,  I'd use some 3/8 x25' poly rope and an 5 or 6 rung etrier.   Simple and light, fits in a daypack.  :)

It's to get up into the tree (nine times outta ten all lower branches are shot), but most times it's all that's needed to get to the container too.

Higher, or out on a limb,  and I'd just use 7/16 rescue rope and mechanical ascenders, descenders.  Still lighter than any ladder...

 - I like Petzl's  Ascension with dual foot loop, and a Stop descender.

I once found an elevated suburban cache that actually recommended bringing a child to help retrieve the cache...
