+Ry Dawg 33 Posted November 12, 2020 Any experienced earth cache owners willing to proof read or chime in and make sure it flows smoothly? I’m struggling forming questions and second guessing that it’s over simplified my page. thanks Quote Share this post Link to post
+coachstahly 682 Posted November 13, 2020 Feel free to send me what you've got. I only have 3 out but happy to help out, if you want someone to give it a once over. Quote Share this post Link to post
+sgerbs 6 Posted November 15, 2020 Don't worry about your earthcache being sent back to you. My first 5 or 6 all came back to me to have them edited. The more you do, the better you get. If you want me to proofread it as well, send it over. Quote Share this post Link to post
+STNolan 196 Posted November 16, 2020 We actually have an entire forum thread dedicated to this purpose! Hasn't been used in a while, but it's still a good resource! Quote Share this post Link to post

One of my first got rejected entirely, in fact. 3 hours ago, sgerbs said: The more you do, the better you get. Absolutely. While I'm fond of the places I picked for my first few, I admit the earthcaches I put there don't hold up as well as my more recent ones. @Ry Dawg, if you're comfortable posting it in the open, that's what this forum is for: to help for a better earthcaching experience. Or if you want to go offline with any who have offered to help, you're in good hands. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

It was hard at first, but I appreciate the advice I've received from GeoAwares. I'd like to think that my earthcaches only get better. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

I got discouraged after my submission got rejected, it turns out it was too close to another, similar feature, and my earthcache wasn't different enough. And the feature was in Iceland, so I couldn't just pop back and fix it. But I kept at it, and, well, here I am as a geoaware, so it went well enough, I guess. 1 1 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
+STNolan 196 Posted November 27, 2020 Some people talk about High D/T ratings. Some people talk about solving a difficult puzzle. Some people talk about the cool places they go. But I'll be honest, I'm still chasing that high from the first time I submitted an EC to the Geoaware and said "looking for feedback on what needs to change" and he said "I can publish it right now." Whoosh. Blew. My. Mind. 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
