Those who know better are not submitting waymarks but not everybody is aware this is a mistake listing. This is happened several times in the past few years, from what I remember. How can we help prevent this in the future? I have an idea. Delete the waymarks instead of archiving them, when they are approved for a non-approved category. The incentive will be removed. My guess is that they are trying to show that there is an interest in the category in hopes it doesn’t get archived/deleted by TPTB. Quote Link to comment

That's not how Waymarking works and those involved are fully aware. Categories are voted on by the Waymarking community and this category did not pass peer review.
