Any word on when they will run the power trail attribute script now that it is October? @nykkole It seems the updates for the HQ Solution Checker attributes has stalled. many where updated Friday and Saturday, but no so many on Sunday. Then some more on Monday, but seems to have stalled again. Any guidance on when this update will be complete? Link to comment
+MtnProf
Sorry I just saw your question. I should delete my statement. Some place someone asked a question it turns out if there would be a way to identify which puzzles were field ones. I mistook that for me a statement not a question which it was. Link to comment
nykkole
Update on the automatic application of attributes: Geocaching.com solution checker: We've added the attribute to all existing caches that have the Geocaching.com solution checker enabled. All future caches will automatically get the attribute as they are created, if the CO sets the checkmark to show the Geocaching.com solution checker Challenge caches: We've added the attribute to all existing challenge caches. For all future challenge caches, COs will have to add the attribute manually. Power trail: We've added the attribute to all caches that COs wrote in after the release (deadline closed end of September). For all other / future caches that are part of a power trail the CO will have to add the attribute manually. Bonus cache: No automatic process. COs of existing and future bonus caches will have to add the attribute manually. 1 Link to comment

Just in my limited testing, I found 7 that do not: https://coord.info/GC86ERC ?Oyster Creek Royal Promenade - The Royal Rules https://coord.info/GC80J9K The Royal Promenade - A Movie Fit for a... https://coord.info/GC59MVZ The Royal Promenade - Legendary Queens - Isabella https://coord.info/GC8284E Benchmarks 23 https://coord.info/GC8C7F7 Lock 40 https://coord.info/GC8C60Y Mill Creek Aqueduct https://coord.info/GC84KGN PI Puzzle I confirmed with the CO of the first three that they had not added the solution checker recently, so they should have been picked up by the script. +niraD
Are there plans to extend the "Solution Checker" attribute to puzzle caches that use third-party checkers? Or is it going to remain tied to the Groundspeak solution checker? Link to comment

nykkole
We have run the script to add the solution checker attribute to the caches that were missing the attribute. It looks like the fix we found was not addressing all cases, so there might still be Mystery Caches that have the solution checker enabled but no attribute. We are continuing to investigate. 1 Link to comment

(See also our release notes on the Attribute Search in the Geocaching® app and Attribute Search on Geocaching.com) Hiders with challenge caches, bonus caches, or caches that are part of a power trail can now add the appropriate attribute. Additionally, we will automatically apply the Geocaching.com solution checker attribute to any caches that use the Geocaching.com solution checker. More about the 4 new attributes: Bonus cache attribute If you own a bonus cache, please add the bonus cache attribute to your existing or future hide so that other geocachers can filter for them easily. Since bonus caches are always Mystery Caches, the attribute is only available for Mystery Cache types. Since I do not do Adventure Lab Caches, since they cannot be done with a GPSr, how do I add Adventure Lab Cache Bonus cache attribute to the "Attributes to be excluded" on Pocket Queries? I do not see the attribute listed. 1 1 Link to comment

The short answer is that you either exclude all bonus caches or you don't exclude any, and then you read the description when you go to solve the puzzle or find the cache. Honestly, rather than excluding mystery/unknown caches in my pocket queries, I set up iCaching or GSAK to exclude the ones I haven't input solved coordinates for. 1 Link to comment

Yep. I don't load any mystery/puzzle caches except via my "solved unfound puzzles" list (and its PQ). Link to comment

The phone apps don't have a filter to distinguish between Adventure Lab bonus vs any other type of bonus cache. Link to comment
+Maxipimpf
Hi, my Cache https://coord.info/GC91EFH is a Wherigo Cache and a Bonus Cache. Why is it not possible to set the "Bonus Cache"-Attribute?? Link to comment
